The Coimbatore Productivity Council (CPC), a non-profit making autonomous body, established in 1958 to promote productivity culture in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu is registered as a society under the societies Registration Act and affiliated to National Productivity Council, New Delhi. Also the first local productivity Council in India.

The founder President was Padmabushan K. Sreenivasan, Former Director, South India Textile Research Association, Coimbatore and Prof G.R Damodaran, former Principal – PSG College of Technology and Vice Chancellor of Madras University was the founder Secretary.
