- Organises Interplant Training Programmes and In plant Training Programmes.
- Conducts Project Surveys and Implements Schemes.
- Offers consultancy services and has qualified consultants and industrial engineers on its roll.
- A Preliminary survey will be carried out by the council on request from the interested organizations and report will be submitted recommending type of problems to be taken up for study. The survey would normally cover the following aspects:
- Area of Study
- Techniques to be adapted
- Period required for study
- Fees payable to the council.
- Recommends persons to NPC to take part in seminars / Conference sponsored by APO.
- Provides library facilities (Having own library)
- Organizes competitions and contests for industrial workers and college and school students during the productivity week celebrations.
- Offers the Council Hall on rental basis for its members and others.
- Seminars - The council organizes seminars on topic of current interest, which provide a forum for management and labour to jointly discuss problems of common interest. These seminars are usually well attended since leading personnel are invited as guest speakers, In addition to seminars, conferences. Symposia, lecture meetings are also periodically arranged.
- PGDPM Course - The council offers a part time Post Graduate Diploma Course in “Personnel Management, Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare”. This diploma has been recognized and approved by the Department of Labour and Employment, Government of Tamilnadu and has been approved as a preferential qualification for the recruitment of labour Officers and Welfare Officers under the Tamil Nadu services.
- Net Working - CPC works closely with apex Industrial associations including CII, CODISSIA, CMA, SIEMA, SIMA etc.CPC has close links with other NPC organizations to have synergy in executing Projects.
